TitoPAC is launched

I have a great many friends in the ideological and political realm, and I’m particularly proud of some of them. My best friends are the kind who step forward, right wrongs, and speak for the masses. Birds of a feather, you might say.

One such friend is Tito Munoz, who came to America by way of Columbia.
Photobucket

When I became aware of “Tito the Builder” and his involvement in the McCain/Palin effort back in 2008, I thought to myself, here’s a guy who “gets it”.
He went to a McCain event in work clothes, wearing a hard hat adorned with McCain stickers, orange high-visibility vest, and a sign that said CONSTRUCTION WORKERS FOR MCCAIN.
Munoz is the owner of a small commercial construction business, so he understands quite a bit about the plight of those businesses… and so do I, because I also own one of them.

With a heightened precision, Munoz wore construction clothes to express his sympathy for Joe Wurzelbacher, the Ohio man better known as "Joe the Plumber." He felt that Wurzelbacher (best known for inciting that famous zinger that Obama probably regrets unleashing to this day)-- "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody"... had been unnecessarily rolled by the press for overtly expressing skepticism about Obama's pledge not to raise taxes on individuals making more than $200,000 a year and couples making more than $250,000.(so, instead Obama has raised taxes on everything else in an effort to make folks think he's keeping promises)

After the event, Tito sought out the liberal press and held their feet to the fire. “"I support McCain, but I've come to face you guys because I'm disgusted with you guys," he said. "Why the hell are you going after Joe the Plumber? Joe the Plumber has an idea. He has a future. He wants to be something else. Why is that wrong? Everything is possible in America. I made it. Joe the Plumber could make it even better than me….I was born in Colombia, but I was made in the U.S.A."

With those words, he caught the campaign’s attention, and the rest is history. He and his wonderful wife Deborah, have gone on to found a group called the Conservative Hispanic Coalition, they have started and host a conservative Spanish-language radio program, "America Eres TU" (America Is You), and have been active in the Tea Party and the Prince William County, Virginia Republican Committee. He also serves on the Virginia Board of Housing and Community Development, appointed by Governor Bob McDonnell.

Tito is the epitome of public service already. That he will now explore his possibilities in an elected office only raises the level of his service to his fellow citizens.
Tito is forming an organization called TitoPAC and exploring a run for the legislature. "I came to America for a better life and more opportunities to succeed," he says in a statement to accompany his announcement, which is planned for Today. "While working with my Conservative Hispanic Coalition, Americans for Prosperity, FreedomWorks, and the Tea Party, it became clear to me that there are many others who agree that government very often is an impediment to achievement and success. Whether a natural born citizen or a legal immigrant, every Virginian and American deserves the same access I had: to be made in the United States of America."

Run, Tito, Run. The Commonwealth should welcome your offer to serve.

$220 MIL back on reserve!!

Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) today made the following statement after Virginia announced a $220 million state budget surplus:

"During these challenging economic times, Virginia balanced its budget and created a revenue surplus of over $200 million in FY 2010. This is a result of the steady leadership of Governor Bob McDonnell. Due to its fiscal prudence, Virginia was also able to close a $4.2 billion budget shortfall in the FY 2011/2012 by significantly cutting spending and without raising taxes. If America is to get its fiscal house in order, Washington needs to learn from the bold actions taken in Virginia by Governor McDonnell.

"Unfortunately, over the last eighteen months, Washington has gone on a spending spree to the tune of nearly $8,000 per person - an increase of $4.9 billion per day - the highest rate of growth in our history. We must start cutting spending, and we must start now, which is why over the past month, Republicans have forced the House of Representatives to vote on more than $100 billion in spending cuts. Unfortunately only a handful of Democrats supported our efforts. Instead of working together to cut spending immediately, President Obama and Speaker Pelosi want to keep kicking the can down the road, but there's no more road left. We can't keep waiting until the proverbial ‘next year,' we need to get our fiscal house in order now so that tomorrow our children and grandchildren can enjoy the same freedoms and opportunity that were provided to us.

"Mr. President, take a look at the example set by Virginia, and let's start making the tough decisions today."

See....All 'ol Timmy had to do was make the tough choices that everyday families have to. Kinda like splurge on instant gratification --- or plan for the long haul.
McDonnell was on Fox news telling the rest of the Nation. It is possible - you just have to make decisions with limited money and stop acting like there's always more in the spigot. The well is dry, Obama....the road ends ahead, so stop kicking the can, man.

Congrats! all you young people wanted change you could believe in.

Well, here it comes. Never before has Congress conspired to subvert the will of the People.
They've just hatched a final drive on healthcare to bypass any partisan support, and they will step around any lingering remnants of order and procedure in order to foist this travesty upon us. Trouble is...every one of those voters who thought this was going to be FREE healthcare is now on the hook for purchasing their own healthcare - or facing a government fine of up to $750 for not doing so.

Those affected? 18 MILLION young folks between 18-28, who voted overwhelmingly for their own imprisonment to purchasing insurance out of their own pockets. or going to jail if they don't.

Adding to the misfortune of the imposed fines is the fact that the Obama administration has just spent enough money giving out freebies to the rest of the world and to ACORN and other entities...they now have to pay back a massive and unimaginable deficit. Guess who's going to be left with that bill? That's right....young people.

Compounding that problem is the fact that with such a large deficit, our dollars are devaluating, and our creditworthiness is now going to somewhere around a B or a C in classification. Youngsters....you need to remember that in a time when excellent credit scores can extend a rate on credit cards somewhere around 16%, bad credit risk routinely pay closer to 24% or even higher, based entirely on risk to the provider of that credit.
What used to be an AAA score has fallen under this "Chicago" regime, and many of you had better get used to how hard it is to rebuild credit in the aftermath of such recklessness as has been displayed by this government since 2009.

Now for the icing on that cake, boys and girls. Wait until Cap and Trade, the program based upon the ficticious "global warming" debacle comes on line. Those worthless dollars you have left will now be treated to uniform inflationary routines as fuels are taxed, electricity bills become enlarged, and all that money is syphoned off to special interest --- McGimsey's primal shoutout is the immediate sentiment here --"Who wants to make some money?!!"

They played it up great, didn't they? "Noone under $250K will pay any taxes."
Well, that number was down under $95K (Household)recently, and these taxes on fuel and every other resource or household goods you use that depends in any way on fuel aren't even captured in what the administration calls "your taxes".

Wait...one more hiccup. Bush's tax breaks will sunset this year, too. Back to paying what you did in 2002. Oh--- you didn't have a job in 2002? You didn't make enough money to pay into taxes back then?? You'd better get used to it.

The fact of the matter.

Now, the good news. If enough folks stand up to this agenda and DEMAND that the Constitution be adhered to,(all of these recent actions by Congress are in direct conflict with the document and it's provisions) this can be reversed as a matter of this Congress acting illegally. But it's going to take every woman, man and young adult to gather the 155 Million people needed to join together and file a suit demanding that this fleecing is unconstitutional and must be stopped.

Top 10 list of corrupt politicians

"Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians," for 2009, formed by Judicial Watch

Right at the top....President Obama!

"The Obama White House believes," said the report from the organization that monitors government for corruption, and sues when it chooses, "it can violate the privacy rights of American citizens without any legal consequences or accountability."

"Moreover, the Obama administration made the startling claim that the Privacy Act does not apply to the White House. The Obama White House believes it can violate the privacy rights of American citizens without any legal consequences or accountability," the report said.

The rest of the cast is listed below from the site.

Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., who also was on the list last year for his corrupt relationship with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for allegedly accepting preferential treatment for himself. In 2009, the report said, the scandals kept coming. He faced an ethics complaint this year for undervaluing a property he owns in Ireland on his federal disclosure forms.

Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., who might be considered one of the year's worst offenders for admitting to an extramarital affair with the wife of one of his staff members, who then allegedly obtained special favors from him in exchange for his silence. "It looks as if Ensign misused his public office (and taxpayer resources) to cover up his sexual shenanigans," Judicial Watch said.

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., who is being investigated by Judicial Watch in connection with a $12 million TARP cash infusion into the Boston-based OneUnited Bank. He was the congressman who infamously in 2003 announced, "the two Government Sponsored Enterprises we are talking about here, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are not in a crisis." The comments came as he worked against GOP efforts to rein in the GSEs, which later created an economic tidal wave through the economy because of their financial losses.

Another is Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner, who admitted to failing to pay $34,000 taxes he owed on his lucrative salary at the International Monetary Fund.

Attorney General Eric Holder also is on the list. His record includes obstructing an FBI investigation of the theft of nuclear secrets from Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratory; rejecting multiple requests for an independent counsel to investigate alleged fundraising abuses by then-Vice President Al Gore in the Clinton White House; undermining the criminal investigation of President Clinton by Kenneth Starr in the midst of the Lewinsky investigation; and planning the violent raid to seize then-six-year-old Elian Gonzalez at gunpoint in order to return him to Castro's Cuba, Judicial Watch said. He also has dropped a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party stemming from members' actions on Election Day 2008.

Joining the others is Illinois State Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr., who was in the center of the scandal in which Blagojevich reportedly tried to sell Obama's vacant Senate seat. "According to the Chicago Sun-Times, emissaries for Jesse Jackson Jr., named 'Senate Candidate A' in the Blagojevich indictment, reportedly offered $1.5 million to Blagojevich during a fundraiser if he named Jackson Jr. to Obama's seat."

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., is named for her "sense of entitlement," which is "at the heart of the corruption problem in Washington," Judicial Watch said. "Politicians believe laws and rules (even the U.S. Constitution) apply to the rest of us but not to them. Case in point: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her excessive and boorish demands for military travel. Judicial Watch obtained documents from the Pentagon in 2008 that suggest Pelosi has been treating the Air Force like her own personal airline."

Also, Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., who "made headlines in 2009 for all the wrong reasons." Judicial Watch said Murtha is under investigation for his relationship with the now-defunct defense lobbyist PMA Group. That was founded by a former Murtha associate and has been his largest campaign contributor.

Rep. Charles Rangel, D-New York, who has been unable to explain how he forgot to pay taxes on $75,000 in rental income, or how his congressional office was able to raise funds for his private Rangel Center by reportedly swapping a tax loophole for donations. Further, he's accused of making financial donations to other members of Congress who are assigned to investigate his actions.

All these self-agrandizing simpletons have alot of nerve pointing a finger at anyone else.

Breakfast with a Champion!

Bob McDonnell was impressive this morning. His vision for the transportation initiatives is well defined - despite what his opposition says. Read some of the 12 points here.

Basically, Deeds admitted (practically verbatim) that his first action as Governor would be to put together a plan.
Just as he admitted to having to raise taxes after he also promised not to -- Deeds was like a doe in the headlights in his performance and seemed to be spooked by the fact that McDonnell was even in the room...albeit that this debate did not pit them in head-on exchanges, as Fairfax did...

Deeds made an awful lot of noise about creating jobs...when every business owner in the room (this was a Chamber of Commerce event)already knew that another democrat is forcing Cap and Trade down their throats ...and that the end result of that legislation, should it pass... would rip jobs from the Commonwealth in massive numbers as small entrepenuers who are just hanging on will have to close their doors ...since they can't ask the already strained customers for more money in rates and materials.

Seems like just one more democrat who's so far out of touch with the very people who carry the state's largest freight. And that's enough reason to get him and Kaine as far away from the driver's seat as is possible.

Update: I've been bombarded with excellent McDonnell commercials. The one where the women tell us exactly how friendly he is to working women (having appointed 50% of his deputies as women) is especially enjoyed. I also like the one where the women in his life tell how he has influenced their rise to their accomplishments.

Deeds, on the other hand has gone negative, made up imagined scenarios and reached into thin air for solutions. In his course, he's thrown Obama, Kaine and Warner under the bus...and appears to want to go back in time to Baliles' policies instead of grasping the 21st century solutions that McDonnel is pointing out.

The next tumbler in the lock falls...

Today, the AP reported that 15 States and the District of Columbia are now past the 10% unemployment figure...
Yet, Obumbler seems to think that Cap n' Trade and heathcare reform are still okay..because, really..how much worse could they force the unemployment rate up?

Here's a clue, geniuses....
When those companies who are barely hanging on right now go under because they can't pay for electricity or gasoline without raising their rates on customers who are already screaming about the costs of their goods...and they end up closing the doors and releasing all of those workers into the unemployment offices...you'll get the picture. But, by then, it'll be too late.

When you tax the bejesus out of those businesses who you've planned to saddle with the burden of the healthcare program...despite the fact that they show well on paper..but are really just passing on a great deal of that money in overhead...you'll get it. They, too...will close down rather than fight harder to satisfy a program and a way of life with no reward in it for them. But by the time you've figured that out....it'll be too late.

And by all means...keep jerking the stock market around and changing the rules.
Pretty soon, you'll have all the investors so jumpy....it'll be MUCH safer to bury their money in a minimal interest account somewhere else and acrue 5% ...while we wait ten years for them to feel like the market is a steady enough place where they can invest money for a better return. That's what was called an "investor's holiday" back in 1930...when FDR did much the same thing, and his investor money DISAPPEARED until 1941 when only WWII brought it back out.

You know that old adage...Those that ignore history are destined to repeat it.
Thanks in advance, dumbasses.

BACKLASH REPORT:
As companies feel the weight of the taxes and other operating cost being brought down on them...they begin to shed weight. A number of companies, many with employees who are like family to them... have begun to work out how to lighten the load. A couple of owners that I know have figured out a perfect solution...
Go out into the parking lot, note which employees have Obama bumper stickers ---and give those individuals the first round of RIF releases.
When they complain...just tell them "You wanted CHANGE. This is definitely a CHANGE."

The Lessons of History

Photobucket

In some recent research, I've begun looking back at historical context...because as we all should know, if we're ignorant of our past..we're destined to repeat it.

Oop's ....too late.

Jimmah Carter was a peanut farmer from Georgia who became the 39th President back in 1976. His term in office was a tradgedy on so many levels, that Republicans experienced a surge just 4 years later due to his incompetence. This guy just couldn't get anything right.

Jan 21, 1977: Carter issues a pardon to most of those who evaded the draft in order to avoid going to Vietnam.

June 30: President Carter stops the B-1 bomber program, angering defense conservatives.

September 7: Carter and Panamanian president Omar Torrijos Herrera sign the Panama Canal treaties. They provide for control of the canal to be handed over to Panama in 1999, and guarantee the canal's neutrality.

September 15: Carter's budget director, friend and adviser Bert Lance appears before a Senate committee to defend himself against charges that he has improperly used his position for personal gain. Since July, the Lance scandal has grown into a major headache for Carter, as it calls into question the high moral integrity he campaigned on. Lance will resign six days later.

December: Carter signs a Social Security measure that would keep the system solvent until 2030, resulting in a huge increase in payroll taxes.

December 31: Carter visits Tehran on New Years' Eve. He toasts the Shah, reiterating American support and calling him "an island of stability" in the troubled region.

February, 1978: A nationwide NBC/AP poll reveals that only 34% of Americans think Carter is doing an excellent or good job -- a 21% decline in six months.

July, 1978: Senator Kennedy visits Carter at the White House in a last-ditch effort to resolve their differences over national health insurance. Carter wants to phase the program in and make it contingent on the budget. The meeting goes badly and Kennedy accuses the president of a "failure of leadership."

January 16, 1979: The Shah flees Iran after a year of growing public unrest. Conservative Muslim cleric Ayatollah Khomeini, who had led the popular movement against the Shah, will return triumphantly from exile two weeks later.

July,1979: Truckers blockade expressways and set off the nation's first energy riot in Levittown, Pennsylvania, resulting in two nights of violence. One hundred people are injured and more than 170 arrested.

July 3-12: Carter holds a "domestic summit" at Camp David to address the energy crisis and figure out how to rescue his presidency from record low approval ratings.

July 17: President Carter asks his entire cabinet to resign, eventually accepting five.

August 15: U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young resigns after a private meeting with a representative of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the latest in a series of controversies.

September 2: Carter welcomes Nicaraguan Daniel Ortega and other Sandinista leaders, who have just toppled dictator Anastasio Somoza, to the White House. He provides them with $118 million in aid.

September 15: Carter collapses during a road race near Camp David, contributing to a growing public perception that he is weak.

October 22: Carter allows the ailing Shah of Iran to enter the U.S. for medical treatment.

November 4: Outraged by the Shah's welcome in America, militant students overrun the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, seizing 66 hostages. The 444-day Iranian hostage crisis begins.

April 24, 1980: A hostage rescue mission, called "Desert One," ends in disaster when two helicopters fail, and a third crashes into a plane during takeoff. Several days earlier, Secretary of State Vance had resigned over the decision to proceed with the mission.

August 4: Carter holds a news conference on "Billygate," the controversy over his brother Billy Carter's dealings with the Libyan government.

October 28: The one and only debate between Carter and Reagan takes place in Cleveland. Reagan effectively brushes aside Carter's attacks by saying, "There you go again," and seals his dominance of the evening with his closing question to voters: "Are you better off than you were four years ago?"

November 2: The Iranian parliament issues a statement making it clear the hostages will not be released before the election.

November 4: Reagan defeats Carter 51% to 41% in the popular vote, and in a landslide of 489 electoral votes to 49.

Now, as we come back to 2009, I'm finding Obama is racking up blunders at an alarmingly faster rate than Carter did. I think that immaturity and his arrogance are the two factors that are driving this overdeveloped rate of foul-ups....
He's nominated 5 to 7 folks for offices when their tax information hadn't been vetted. He lacks the cultural knowledge of other regions, or the protocol that would inform him that he was never to bow to Saudi Kings and allows his wife to drape herself on top of the Monarchy in Merry Old England. He appoints someone so dumb, that they fly Air Force One over the City of NY at low altitude...ignoring the fact that these people might get a little rattled, because the last plane they saw flying that low...well, you understand.
The kid has shown that he doesn't have a clue....and doesn't want one.
If history does indeed repeat itself, there'll be three times as many folks looking forward to a Republican to straighten this country back out.
Where can you find another Ronald Reagan when you need him?

T.E.A. Washington Report.

I attended the DC TEA Party today.

1500 folks in the worst weather you could imagine. Rain and wind all day. Still didn't dampen the spirits of the folks who showed. We had a Code Pink crew walking amongst us, and a very, very small group (20 folks?) defending Obama over by the Treasury Dept. The Secret Service deliberately kept us separated.

What I keep thinking is that this effort is in it's infancy. This was but the first annual T.E.A. Party. Imagine how the ranks and the support will grow for the second...and the third annual T.E.A. Parties.
Many years ago, the veterans from the Vietnam Era would saddle up and ride to the Wall in an event called the RollingThunder. The first year, there were 2800 Harleys from across the region. Last year, there were in excess of 30,000. Given time and focus, these events will propagate attendance. It is inevitable.

Where this gets scary for Obama is...the day that even 10% of the Country decides to stop financing their own fleecing, and flat out boycotts taxes. How is the IRS going to prosecute 30,000,000 people at the same time. What will the yearly caseload look like? How many years of prosecutions to even break one percent? Where do you lock these folks up?How many personnel will that involve? Did they pay their taxes?

What I did find to be extremely offensive was the CNN interview that I saw a portion of. What I was left wondering is whether the CNN hack considered herself to be a journalist..or a commentator? If, indeed, she was shooting for journalist, she failed miserably. All the true journalist I know are neutral on issues. They are there to report facts, not interject their opinions.

As I pointed out in my last posting, this was never about Republican or Democrat. This is about tax payers , one and all. And maybe, it's high time we all took it back, fire Congress-- take their salaries in light of their recent malfeasance, and let them experience unemployment lines for a change.

Obama's full disclosure of the tax situation

Whether he would disclose it, or not....we will...
We know Sen Obama will raise taxes for those making more than $250k. He won’t tell you, however, that people earning less than $250k will also pay more as well. Here are 4 clear ways that he WILL make the middle class pay more Taxes!

1. He has stated that he WILL let the Bush Tax Cuts expire. This will cause ALL American’s to pay 2000 level taxes...which are higher than today at every Income Level.

2. Senator Obama has proposed lifting the $94,700 payroll cap to support Social Security, adding an additional 12.4 percent tax on every dollar earned above that cap -- and in spite of his promise, impacting all those who earn between $94,700 and $249,999.

3. He will raise capital gains taxes from 15 percent to 20 percent. He says he's aiming at "fat cats" who make above $250,000. However, while only 1 percent of Americans make a quarter-million dollars, roughly 50 percent of all Americans own stock – and while investments that are through IRAs, 401Ks and in pension plans are not subject to capital gains, those stocks in personal portfolios are subject to capital gains, no matter what the owner’s income is.

4. Senator Obama has promised to raise taxes on businesses -- and to raise taxes a lot on oil companies. From both theory and practice, I know what businesses do when taxes are raised. Corporations don't "pay" taxes -- they collect taxes from customers and pass them along to the government. This means that the people who Obama promised tax relief will pay more for goods and services instead of taxes.

Four clear ways that Sen Obama will NOT live up to his promise that people making less than $250k will not pay a penny more in taxes....this claim is just not true!

Read on....if nothing else, it will help you make an informed decision on Nov 4th.

http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/senator_obamas_four_tax_increa.html

The only other point to make is that history proves that lowering people's taxes and dropping the Capital Gains tax are a sure fired way to jumpstart the economy. JF Kennedy did so, and we rebounded from the start of a recession. Reagan did so, and we pulled out of the Carter tailspin.

The short case against Barack Obama

http://www.box.net/shared/loez4y1v3a

And then the long one.

First up is Capital Gains taxes. If these rates go to 30%, as Obama has indicated he will strive to achieve, you can kiss job creation goodbye. By trying to appeal to the job seekers and the working class by actively using Class Warfare, Obama can effectively curtail any new job creation with a single sweeping rise in Capital Gains taxes. Those that have the money actually do reinvest that money to make more money. One of the biggest side effects and benefits from them doing so is the creatiuon of jobs. These folks generally make 25% on their initial investment, but it's risky because of the high return. They could make the 25% ...or with equal ease, they could lose their initial investment. As if the stakes weren't already high enough, Obama could stifle all that activity by a rise to a 30% penalty for removal of those monies from protected areas ...immediately trouncing the 25% gamble that these folks already face.
In short, don't hate these folks for trying to make more money and providing employment for millions as they do it...be very afraid when they decide not to gamble and just leave the money in the protected "floorboard cracks" as they acrue a modest 3 to 4% on what they already have.
And they're in a prime position to just leave it there until Obama is gone, which is exactly what will happen when he produces no jobs over his four year reign.
This is complicated by the view he holds on socialism... or "spreading the wealth around".
He's said he'll give 95% of folks a refund. Since 40% already get a refund, or better yet...don't even file a tax form, this amounts to wealth redistribution... again on the shoulders of those who provide the jobs in the first place.
JUST IN: an important confirmation about Obama and wealth redistribution. In this recording, from a 2001 call-in Public Radio talk show in Chicago, Obama (who was then a university lecturer) explains that the Civil Rights movement's primary shortcoming was that the litigation it pursued failed to address redistribution of wealth. This puts the lie to assertions such as the one made by General Powell that he is a moderate and does not intend to pursue such policies.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOtdbqjDHJI

Has anyone ever had a poor person or one that makes a $100K household (that's Daddy AND Momma) earning give them a job? ...and mowing their grass once a week doesn't count.

Next up is his healthcare plan. What Hawaii learned sometime back as they presented a dead ringer for Obama's plan is that presented with those who pay for insurance, and those that recieve it free from the governent...those that previously paid for it would let their paid insurance go, and opt instead for the "free" coverage. This worked so well for Hawaii, that they actually halted the program after a mere 7 months, and it ended up severely in the red.

We continue with the intolerance of his campaign to hear dissenting views. They'd rather not be bothered with people who shoot legitimate holes in his plans, and they're ready to use the courts to shut those people up for good. There will be no freedom of speech under Obama, because his minions have already demonstrated that they're prepared to use Gestapo tactics against anyone who does not fall in line.

Further, Obama's standing as a legitimate candidate is in jeopardy due to the fact that he will not produce a birth certificate for inspection. Despite the fact that no trash can in Alaska has been left unturned, a simple request for a birth certificate and school records has never been provided.

If we go further, his associations with domestic terrorists (let's go further, and call them UNREPENTANT domestic terrorists) is of grave concern. If Obama claims the highest post in the Nation, a domestic terrorists will have the ear of a sitting President. This would have never been tolerated during the Bush years by the opposition, yet Obama is excused, and his minions are all too happy to explain it away.

And as the last issue I'll address (but not nearly completing a list of the deficient qualities of "the One") there is his uncanny ability to be all things to all people. Bill Clinton even had trouble with this one. Obama is smooth. But his record is thin. Very thin. Aside from writing a book or two, he has no accomplishments. He sat thru (and we mean SAT THRU) his Illinois Senate period, with 150 "present" votes. He has scarcely 134 days in the Senate before he began to manage his campaign.... He failed to come back to Washington to excercise his responsibilities as a sitting Senator, and his minions even poked fun at McCain for doing exactly that.
He failed to vote for the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac regulation asked for by McCain in May, 2006 (while Frank, Waters, Dodd, Schumer and others voted against it, Obama must have been hiding in the Cloak room... doing one better on his previous "present" votes.

The "Death Spiral" has begun

Unless Americans wise up and pay attention to the facts of the leadup to the failed Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac debacle. Most Americans outside of those of us who watch events unfold minute by minute are oblivious to those facts, and as such, they will ignorantly suppose that Bush and Republicans are behind this chapter. Unless the biased press starts doing it's job and reporting that Barney Frank and Chris Dodd had a whole lot more to do with this failure than any Republican, the situation and it's outcome is bleak.
Now the Market falls under 9000. To most Americans, again , who ignorantly trust the mainstream media....this is directly proportionate to the "bailout".

In truth, it isn't. Companies and individuals who will have to pay higher Capital Gains taxes under Obama are moving their assets into places where they'll be safe until 2012. Until then, rather than invest those assets, they'll stuff them away and collect interest on them. If McCain is elected, this all stops dead in it's tracks on Novemebr 5th, and reverses course. With someone who understands the impact of Capital Gains Taxes on the flow of money to the markets at the helm, companies and individuals will open up those floor boards and will invest in growth again.
But if Obama wins, they'll close the floorboards and sit it out for four years (that'll look an awful lot like 1976 and Carter's administration).

As they continue to do this, the market, already in a precarious position due to democrats manipulation, will continue to fall. Those ignorant of the situation will see this, and be even more determined to vote for Obama, because they lack the information to reason that he and his ilk are exactly the ones who put us here.

So, in the end, those too ignorant to follow the breadcrumbs for themselves will inevitably connect the last remaining parts needed to gear a "Death Spiral" of electing Obama.

And there, at the bottom of the well, is where we'll sit for four years.

Tell ya what I betcha.

The markets suffered again today as more and more corporation money gets shoved down in the cracks before Obama's Reign of Terror. These businesses have looked down the road, and they've already imagined the damage as Obama raises the Capital Gains taxes on their money.
In an extremely short-sighted view, Obama really thinks that these companies will pay more up front to help him out of a budgetary "black hole".

What he, and every other democrat (they seem to really believe that "it's not fair" equals an economic degree) think that if they collect more money from the big guys who earned it, they can redistribute it to the more "needy". What they effectively overlook (and any REAL economics degree can tell you) is that that Capital Gains pool is brought out and reinvested into jobs and production when the penalty is not so severe that it trumps the return on that money.

These corporations and companies do not owe anything to any of us. They reinvest the Capital Gains back into the market to get a return on that money. They gamble enough as it is. The investments at that level of the game can make huge returns....or crash and burn on the whim of the market.
It's that nature of the stakes that the "hope and change" candidate does not now, nor will ever understand, because in all of his life, he may have made large sums, but he's never reinvested it, nor has he been on the "paying" end of a Capital Gains tax.

I'm going to stick by my guns. If Obama is President on January One, we're headed straight down into a deep recession. If McCain wins out, the floorboards open and the wealth of investment that lead to job creation will flow again. It's 1976 all over again.

The number one thing that we need at this point is job creation (in itself it is a sort of wealth redistribution--although those that recieve their paychecks from that job creation do indeed have to work for it) and without that....the 16% unemployment rates and interests rates that bring inflation can't be far behind.

The left-leaning media does it again

I sometimes think that they don't even realize that they are deliberately slanting stories and coverage. But that's kinda like an oxymoron , isn't it??

Last night, an anchor on MSNBC said that we are going thru the worst economic time in the last seventy-five years.

I'm left to reason, then...that he arrived in the United States AFTER the recession of 1977-1982?? My father --who worked EVERYDAY of his life...was out of work for 6 months. The economy soured and his company trimmed their work rolls accordingly. (Dad still got up at 04:00 and made his way into the city to look for other work every weekday of that 6 months)

It's also documented that the unemployment rate was at 12-14%, and home and auto loans were going for 18%. THAT is a recession, folks. This market and economy is a mere hiccup compared to that.
I have stated elsewhere that I believe that over the last ten years , we lived too well. We spent too much to try to keep up with those we thought were better off than us...as if it were a competition. There are folks who were allowed to lie about their earnings...and we gave them a house. The folks who were building in Loudoun saw square footage as a competition. If the last guy to build had 6000 sq. ft, some saw it as a mark to beat. They honestly thought that it made them better people.
The train of thought didn't really end with homes. The bigger and flashier the auto, the better. Gas prices...who cares (until they get to $4.00, and it takes 6 gallons just to get to work from out here)
So, it was quite natural...and I dare say, expected....when the market we had become accustomed to actually collapsed..and began to correct course, whether we liked it or not. With every large loss thru the past 5 months, we've seen a return over several days. This indicates that the market is trying to figure out where it should be realistically at this date...but the large losses of homes (both by greedy dishonest companies and dishonest individuals) is a complication we did not need. And messing with capital gains taxes won't help, should Obama prevail in November. Like Carter before him, we'll launch straight into a full blown recession when Bam Bam turns off the spigot that is 75% of all job creations in the private sector.

Unfortunately, the left and their media machine will never admit that whining about those who made their money the old-fashioned way (They earned it) and investing it to make more money just happens to make jobs for the rest of us. Don't begrudge them because they have more money than us...embrace the fact that the masses get a job as a by-product of that desire.

Is Obama going to tax us all into oblivion?

CAPITAL GAINS TAX
MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.
OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)
DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN
15% (no change)
OBAMA
39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')
INCOME TAX

MCCAIN
(no changes)
Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA
(reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)
Single making 30K - tax $8,400
Single making 50K - tax $14,000
Single making 75K - tax $23,250
Married making 60K - tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!
INHERITANCE TAX
MCCAIN
- 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)
OBAMA
Restore the inheritance tax
Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.
NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA
New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!
Certainly makes us wonder why Obama isn't crowing about these figures.
