Loudoun Independent on the way out....again.

Squeeking by last February with the implementation of Chapter 11 bankruptcy, it appears that John Geddy, Jr. is chasing that elusive end again by sacrificing his journalistic standard when he accepted a packaged story, complete with bow, that seriously defamed a local gentleman running for office in the 32nd.

Tag Greason, who is a personal friend and all around great guy, is the target of the democrat-dropped bomb requiring digging back in time to 1996 (beginning to see a pattern in the democrat's available tools, platforms and resources here?) to find a non-issue and try to turn it into a campaign issue. I presume this is their "nuclear option" and is brought to bear because they know that Tag's competition for the 32nd District will probably lose in November.

The issue itself is discussed here

As usual, Ric does a bang up job of tearing the story apart and performing in-depth inspection of the parts that compose the "facts" that Geddy forgot.

This may be another reason for the rise of blogs and the demise of "dead trees" - as Ric puts it.

I still remember that in the Presidential race back in 2008, one of Tag's democrat-leaning neighbors had his Obama sign stolen. Tag got him another one. I'm ecstatic that this is how the democrats repay that act of kindness...revealing that no good deed goes unpunished.

COPN is granted to HCA

Let's see how INOVA stands after this. There are reams of Randy Kelly's opinions and statements to peruse if he launches a boat to sabotage this.

As it stands, HCA is making one more bid to give INOVA some healthy competition in Loudoun. If INOVA goes to war again...everything they said about Rt. 50 will become like lace bloomers and we'll see firsthand that it was never about location ...but money.

Purely Gifted!!

Two young journalists (yes, NYT and WaPO, this is what investigative reporting REALLY is) take out ACORN with a series of undercover captures, and the Census organization is nervous and divorces itself from the organizer turds.

Wait for it!!! Guess WHERE the next installment was filmed?? My bet is Chicago.

O'keefe and Giles deserve a medal! They've done what the Congressmen either couldn't, or were so entrenched and dirty with that they wouldn't.
Hat tip to these young and brilliant truth seekers.

I can only hope that Congress now sees that they need to defund and get ACORN out of the Nation's business. We've known they were dirty from the start, but nobody wanted to rock that boat. Now it's taking on water...and new holes keep popping in the boat. Let it sink, I say.

Update: In an overwhelming margin (83-7) the Senate has voted to deny ACORN $169 MIL. It's even more interestingt to note that Stuart Smalley voted to kill the ACORN conveinance as well.

Update: Yet another office of ACORN bites the big hook. This time it's California.
I still think there's a whole series of these reports and linked videos, and I'm still waiting for Chicago's turn.

Update: The House OVERWHELMINGLY withdraws even larger portions of ACORN's funding.
It is absolutely every American's job to spot any instance of ACORN (or it's many tentacles)thwarting transparency and attempting to dive back into the hog trough.

True stuff is always the funniest, folks.

9.11 is a deeply emotional day .

It is with a heavy heart that we remember the victims in Shanksville, the Pentagon and the Towers. It is with a heavy heart that we remember those who took the fight to the enemy in the years after that attack.
But I find lighter emotion when I reflect on the unity that Americans find on this day. There is still an overwhelming amount of the feelings that are the foundation of "If you pick on even the least of us, you have to deal with all of us."

I honor the sacrifice of every family who has faced the loss of a loved one, whether they be a victim in any of the attacks, the first responders who bravely went in to do what they must, or the families of servicemen who desired to seek out those who attacked us wherever they found them to make this "right".

For those still engaged in Afghanistan and cleaning up Iraq, I pray for your safety, and humbly thank you for your dedication to purpose eight years after this monstrosity.

Oh, how they like to blame Bush

Even now, these poor saps blame Bush first....despite the fact that he's been gone for 8 months. Never mind that he was a lame duck for the year before that. Congress, controlled by the Democrats, enacted most of the legislation that has come to pass in the past two years.

Now...hows this work??

And you think George W. Bush was a dummy?
If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of
the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of
inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon
Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically
significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod
containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought
this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia,
would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference
to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you
have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of
advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on
their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to
refer to “Cinco de Cuatro” in front of the Mexican
ambassador when it was the fourth of May (Cuatro de Mayo),
and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have
winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had miss-spelled the word advice would
you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and
potatoe as “proof” of what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to
go plant a single tree on “Earth Day”, would you have
concluded he’s a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force
One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet
fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic,
would you have wondered whether they actually “get” what
happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need
A teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press
conference, would you have laughed and said this is more
proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled
by smarter men behind the scenes?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood
victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or
made homeless than in New Orleans , would you want it made
into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism
and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a
major corporation, even though he had no constitutional
authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national
debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate,
in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt
again 10 times within years, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s
holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority
stake in GM, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of
dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have
